Photo Shoot
As you can see, Audrey is thriving. She was all the way down to 7 pounds 7 ounces when we left the hospital, but she was all the way up to 8-3 two days later! She is a doll, and except for her fussy hours in the evening, she is also really calm. Here is the latest installment of pictures:
Just monkeying around!
Almost all the pictures in this series were blurry, because our little angel is also a little squirrel, and never holds still when she is awake! This one of mom and baby was too fun to pass up.
The hand-crocheted sweater was made for Emily by her aunt Ella when she was just a little baby.
She is going to be tall like her parents.
This is a glimpse of the back side of the nursery.
Anne who? (Unabashedly copying another's inspiration, but our subject is much cuter!)

More Pics
Home At Last!
This post is still under construction, we just wanted to get pics up...
Text about this image...
This is the outfit we picked for Audrey the day we found out she was going to be a girl. We decided right then she would wear them home from the hospital. All of us were exhausted and ready to escape from the grasp of St. Raphael's!
A great welcome home from the Shorters.

At Long Last...
Perhaps it feels like it never will come, but last night she most certainly did! Here are some of our favorite pictures. There will certainly be more to come!! Thanks again to all of you for your faith and prayers. We have been blessed with a safe arrival of our little angel.
This picture is right after our last "last supper," the term we affectionately used a million times thinking the baby was eminent!
I am including this one so you can see the first thing we saw . . . that is one big, beautiful baby with a full head of hair!!
Meet the Parents. This is me with my two favorite people in the whole world. They are both beautiful! And they both did a great job with the surgery!
"I'm hungry!"
Audrey is so peaceful and content when she sleeps! This is the first of many disastrous daddy dews.
"Yep, I'm always hungry!"
We are so lucky to have Grandma Johnson here to help for a few weeks!

I will be posting pictures in a few hours, so stay tuned. Audrey is feeding like a champ. We loved talking to everyone last night!
Audrey's Updates
Here is the news from this morning:
- Baby is doing great! Emily is totally drugged but a very natural mommy. They have totally bonded! Audrey checked out great with the doctor.
- Of course she is a beautiful baby! 21 3/4 inches long. It is Audrey Lyn, not Lynn (oops!) Paperwork says 8 lbs, 8 oz. Big baby!
- turns out cord was wrapped 2 or 3 times. Very possible that is why she never dropped. We were very blessed.
